Forgot how intense racing is. Followed the red mist off the start line, quickly topped out the HR and could actually taste blood! Really thought about quitting for a few delirious minutes. Somehow managed to pull it back an found some rhythm just my side of the limit.
Great to be back, great to see all the red shirts, there is nothing like a sunny race day. 8-)

Great weekend guys, well done all round. That Strava seems a very good tool for zones and training stress levels. It is it funny how Heart Rates go, my bike Lactate Threshold HR is 141bpm and that is only a moderate workout for you David. I had to learn that the hard way when I adopted Joe Friel's HR Zones when I started training a few years ago, I was wondering why I hated training at the time, I was in the Anerobic Zone most of the time :o
