XC training spin Djouce Saterday 9/03 Canceled

Hello,

I am planning to do a training spin in Djouce and Maulin this Saterday. Weather depending. Riding out from Enniskerry on the road to Djouce. Down all the single track to the river. From Powerscourt up towards Maulin. Its a steep climb that goes on for a good bit. Down the walking trail to the Wicklow way. A small climb over the WW then down the river valley and the steep rocky climb after. Try and ride the whole thing if you can. Down the fox glove climb and the grassy bit back to the dry lake and back in to Djouce. From here some different options availleble to test the legs on some uphill single track. Finishing with a descent to the carpark and a cycle back to Enniskerry.

With all the rain this spin is now CANCELED


Not for the faint hearted. Xc bikes only. Steady pace with one or two short food stops . 3+ hrs riding time. Coffee after in Enniskerry if you want.

Sounds deadly, I will be in the Dublin this weekend but may not be heading until Saturday afternoon... Ill let you know closer the time for definite. This spin is more suited to the hardtail then?

OK it was raining all day today!. Forecast isnt great. I will keep a eye on the weather and decide tomorrow. Watch this thread for a update.

Hello, Unfortunatly this spin is canceled. Djouce will be very slopy after all the rain. We will do the same spin when the trails dry up a bit.

I might head to Ballinastoe tomorrow for 1.5 or 2 laps at some stage during the day. Let me know if you want to come along. My phone is half broken. Text dont work so if you want to contact me give me a ring instead.

I was thinking this also, I will be leaving for Dublin at the same time tomorrow morning and will pack the bike. If its not absolutely lashing when passing Ballinastoe I will knock out 2 laps.
