Beginners run group

Post by pjd »

In an effort to try and encourage and nurture our members who have started or who are thinking of taking up running, Orla O'Leary has kindly agreed to take up a mentoring role.

All beginners welcome regardless of ability.

Contact Orla on orla@pomandpaddy.com to register your interest.

A big thanks to Orla for taking this on.

Also stay tuned for 5km runs as part of summer time trials.

Good stuff, can't wait to have some more runners on board. I always felt the bike gets far to much attention in this club :D

Right - here we go folks.

We have Caroline, Yvonne, Helen, Lorraine, Kate, Orla (O'M) and Caoilfhionn signed up so far. If anyone else is interested (even for email updates/tips or the odd session) let me know. We need a few blokes - if your hard enough  We are meeting tomorrow morning (and most Tuesdays) at the Bunclody GAA pitches from 9am. We'll be following an eight week programme (see link below) and I'll also be holding sessions on stretching, technique, core education and injury prevention. I'll post here when we are running them if anyone is interested.

Bring on the Summer 5km series!
