Well, that was a great day out. (And it was a day!) Great route Niall, definitely be doing it again. And a little gem of a food stop in Rathdrum too. Well done to everyone. As PJ suggested, TDF will be a breeze after that!
Thanks to Sergeant O'Muiri for organising the spin and marshalling the troops.

Thanks a mil everyone, a longer then expected day in the saddle...a large group of twenty...Average speed was 20k!! 6hrs 35 min of cycling, 135k door to door ..5 Stops, 2 punctures Thanks to 795'rs for all your support, setting the pace, sweeping from behind, pulling stragglers back to the pelathon, , manning junctions, generally keeping the group safe etc.....

And now at the risk of sounding patronizing or a fkin expert. here's a bit of advice for first timers at this , there's a few fundamental questions you need to ask. 1. Did you enjoy it? 2. Did you struggle to stay with the Pelathon? (dont worry about the mountains, we all get blown out the back on the climbs). 3. Did you eat enough, Did you drink enough At any point did you feel totally drained with aching legs?. If so you didn't drink enough or eat enough..Your Bike, did it run smoothly, Were you comfortable on the bike....If its been a while since you've had your bike serviced, now is the time to do so, Get new tires, whither you need them or not, get the chain checked, there is nothing to wreck your day, like bike trouble...And finally, this evening when your sitting on the couch, tired and stiff...just ask yourself...could I get up again tomorrow morning and do the same again...Because that's what the Tour de Frank is all about... :o

ps..Did David Conway say that if we weren't back in the town by 1.30, he was going to give up biking!!!! we were home at 4pm. You'll be missed David

Ah here Niall, I said road cycling. Anyway, everything changed since then so I won't retire yet.

Good advice above, roll on TDF. Everyone who was there yesterday will be well able for it.
