Dublin marathon
Dublin marathon
Kate, Bernie and I have signed up for the Dublin marathon.
I've heard rumours of a few others
Anyone else taking the plunge?
Long slow runs typically sat morning and shorter runs randomly during the week if anyone is interested.

Considering!! Who's using what training plans?
Re: Dublin marathon
I'm doing an 18 week plan that Joy put together for Kate and Bernie - it's similar to Hal Higdon's Advanced 1 plan but 4 runs a week instead of 5. Skips one of the slow 3 mile runs a week.

In these plans there's a half marathon in the schedule - I'm hoping to do the Oylegate half marathon at the end of August (two weeks from now).
Also heard of another two Ironman maybes..

Re: Dublin marathon
Best of luck guys with the training.
Oilgate half route changed this year. Better I think with plenty of good running in it and pretty flat as halfs go. 2 loops with just one short sharp climb per loop. Previous course was tough. Well timed for anyone looking at Dublin
Hals book was very good I thought and worth buying

I've entered. So who wants to let me train with them?
Re: Dublin marathon
Yeah though my midweek running is random enough and typically at lunch. I'm doing 30km this Sunday morning leaving the square at 9am.ragingbill-74 wrote:I've entered. So who wants to let me train with them?
