Just noticed this is in bunclody on Sunday.
Bit of advice please, can I simply show up,at the sign on, show my CI license and jump in the race?
Do I need a club Jersey? Is it possible to get one somehow before Sunday?
Let me know, thanks

Re: eddie Tobin memorial road race on sun
You need at least an A4 licence to compete , as far as I know one day licences are not issued after April . Regarding the jersey if not wearing a club Jersey you are supposed to wear a plane one with no big logo's but that's seldom enforced .

Thanks Patsy,
Having looked at my licence it seems to be good for everything except open road races. I have no idea what that such a thing might be. Is this an "open road race"?

Yes it is an open race . I'll buzz the secretary of the club in the morning for you and double check about the one day licence
Re: eddie Tobin memorial road race on sun
No one day licences being issued for this race Mat .
Re: eddie Tobin memorial road race on sun
oh, I get it now. I didn't know what I was doing when I bought my licence.
No matter, probably a good idea to do a few club races before getting into a road race - so this is probably for the best.
At any rate, thanks for explaining things and for making the call.
Cheers

No problem glad i could help, there are some local club league races on over the next few weeks Mat , the last round of the South East Road club league is Wednesday in Inch and two weeks later the Bike Shop league starts in Camross . Great for getting experience without the 100 man bunch .mats16 wrote:oh, I get it now. I didn't know what I was doing when I bought my licence.
