After battling my was through the washing machine thats is the first 400m, then the sea weed, and currents of up to 2nts i exit the swim and my jaw hits the floor when i clock the time of 56min, what the hell went wrong! Later talking to people that did a full ironman swim in June 10 seconds faster than they did on saturday!

Makes me feel a lot better. The swim for me by far the toughest thing i've ever got through.
Ah then comes the bike all goes well until i conquer the first climb and realize what goes up must come down, and that is scary s**t, switch backs on that gradient for that distance left me passed by roughly 30 people, but i have 30k done, my crew meet me on the long straight, and i get a second wind when i hear Jim and Olly are behind me, come on girl power! On to the last climb, wasn't feeling great till i got big cheers from my boy's and the Conway clan, another big push to the tunnel (where Olly passes me shouting something along the lines of f**king swim! Tunnel at last all down hill, great what could go wrong? I get attacked by a massive bubble bee that stings me on the leg(i actually think it's a new bred to Ireland it was huge) feeling very sorry for myself until James informs me it's probably dead now.
Great only a half marathon left, sure i've done loads of them before, umm not really the same thing of the back of the above, but again big smiles from more racing795 members and off i go.
Race is over and i'm thrilled, i did it. Well done to everyone else that took part, it might not have gone to plan for everyone this time, but next year....
