Great race reports all, some challenge - very enjoyable in a perverse way :ugeek: . The marathon is such a funny event, only have to be a few % off your game and it's curtains and a miserable last few miles home. Reckon it was the crowds at the start that messed your mojo up, prob burned at lot more energy than you think running in heavy traffic for the first few miles, given the fact that all 3 of you covered 20 miles in relative ease in training, are very experienced in planning for events and you all complained of not feeling great early on

I couldn't imagine trying to run through that size of a crowd at the start

Well I for one am delighted everyones day didn't go according to plan, perfect races make for awfull boring race reports. There is nothing like a good tale of woe to capture the audience
Well done on your imperfectness :D

Indeed, we all love a tale of woe, three of 'em here forever more!
