Spring 2012 Clothing order
Spring 2012 Clothing order
Speaking with a few people at the duathlon over the weekend it seems as though there is interest in putting together another gear order.
For any new members how it works is that you indicate what item of clothing or accessories you want and the size you want it in, I will confirm it back to you before the order is placed, order goes in, club pays for the stuff and I chase you like a banshee for the money
We don't hold any stocks of clothing, everything is ordered for individuals. We do however need to hit a minimum order to ensure that people aren't paying an arm and a leg for stuff. Typically it takes at least 15 items to pull together an order.
Endura are our suppliers of choice and their full range of custom gear can be found here: http://www.endura.co.uk/Dept.aspx?dept_id=134 just browse through the menu on the left. Full range of mountain bike, road bike and triathlon gear, along with some running stuff.
You can order pretty much anything you want from that page. Prices given on the site are in sterling and do not include VAT. Nor do they take account of our discounts. For rough guides on euro prices see the latest couple of gear orders:
Summer 2011: http://www.racing795forum.com/home/view ... ?f=4&t=666
Winter 2010: http://www.racing795forum.com/home/view ... ?f=4&t=415
Summer 2010: http://www.racing795forum.com/home/view ... ?f=4&t=148
After the order has gone in I will calculate the individual prices and confirm it back to you. Neither the club nor I make any money at all from it. Prices do tend to fluctuate slightly owing to prevailing exchange rate and discount, but they don't change that much.
Speaking with Endura today the current lead time is 10 weeks, giving us an expected delivery date early to mid May which would be just about right for the start of the racing season.
I'm trying to gauge interest at the minute, so please post on this thread if you intend to buy anything, and what you think it might be. If it looks like we are going to be able to get enough interest going I will book a production slot and then get down to finalising details. If you want something please post sooner rather than later, the quicker I know we have enough numbers, the quicker I book a slot, the earlier the order arrives. No point having this stuff arriving sometime September.
So for now please indicate your interest and what you think you might want, we can worry about sizes and other specifics later.
Any questions ask.

Re: Spring 2012 Clothing order
Hi John, Fintan and myself would be interested in order some clothing. A women's short sleeve road jersey and shorts, men's road jersey and pro tri shorts. I was also wondering what are the running vests like and also what is the sizing like for the clothing.
Re: Spring 2012 Clothing order
I'll have a small order John.
Tracy I have both cycling Jersey and shorts and the running vest if you want to try them for size, give me a ring on 0eight7 six9one8sevenseven2, and I will arrange to get them to you. It is worth trying on the gear and making sure you get the right size there is plenty around to try on.

Re: Spring 2012 Clothing order
Phew, I thought we were gonna have headline news here 'RECESSION BITES - TRIATHLETES NOT INTERESTED IN BUYING LOADSA NEW GEAR'
You could check out this part of Endura's site for sizing guidelines: http://www.endura.co.uk/Dept.aspx?dept_id=150
Joy is right though, there's lots of stuff about and nothing beats trying it on for size
I have a road jersey (pro and regular) if Fintan wants to try them
Pro is much more fitted if that's what you're looking for, but sizes seem smaller too - I've a medium in the regular and a large in the pro
I also have the running vest
Fintan might want to get an extra bit added to the bottom of the running vest, both Martin and Tom got 100mm added to the bottom of theirs
Anyone else looking for a few bits now Tracy's got the ball rolling?

Re: Spring 2012 Clothing order
Brian, just to let you know the MTB jersey is fairly heavy. You wouldn't want to wear it in a race in July! Might be wiser to go for 1 MTB and 1 road jersey. Welcome to try mine for size next time you're around. Give me a buzzBrianM wrote:Hi John,

Re: Spring 2012 Clothing order
I would go further than that, I wouldn't bother with the mtb jersey at all, they;re a very loose fit and heavy. The road jerseys are better all round in my viewBrianM wrote:Brian, just to let you know the MTB jersey is fairly heavy. You wouldn't want to wear it in a race in July! Re: Spring 2012 Clothing order
That would be great Joy to try the gear on. Thanks a mill I will be in touch
Re: Spring 2012 Clothing order
John, I have updated my original post.
The MTB jerseys are listed as loose fit so for the road ones I have changed up to large,
Jacket, as it was.
Cheers for the heads up lads
