went good

here's a picture of my ar$e, unfortunately there weren't too many of my fellow competitors looking at it :D

course was good, very fast, not too technical. Greasy though and some tricky switchbacks like the one in the picture and short sharp climbs. Binned it on one of the first bends and had to play catch up for a while...

Pace was HOT from the start, I was Bollixed at the end. I was about 1hr25, with about 5 or 6 behind me out of a field of 25 or so. Doesnt sound great but it was a mixed s1/s2/s3 field so happy enough with that

now I need to work on the Mothers Day pass for Annamoe next Sunday ....

'Eehh Lad', as it's popularly used around these parts, serious stuff. Mixing it up in the Elites. 1 hour and 26 mins of max HR would be 'Tiring' to say the least. On my few occasions (there will be more) out on the MTB circuits, I have to say the one thing I just couldn't seem to handle were the switchbacks, I just seemed to spin out every time. Lack of 'finesse', I think they call it.....
