was a good race. sat in the car for 45mins beforehand watching a deluge, didn't even bother with a practice lap it was that bad. glad I togged out though as it was a good course, half and half ballyhoura trail and natural trail, some tricky drops and switchbacks especially in the mud.

i'm really enjoying these races, the fields may be small but the racing is intense and close. looking forward to the next one.

and the best thing of all - a hot shower afterwards!

And you expect us mere mortals to get down those drops, I'd sh*t myself before even contemplating that and then to do it in the wet where brakes bcome a bigger hazard if used. You have my admiration. So DF has set the pace for the rest of us for the year.

The final round of the Munster series is on this coming Sunday, 20th March in Ballyhoura. This round is hosted by the newly founded Limerick mtb club and the much maligned MBUL. It takes place out the back end of the Ballyhoura trails and the course promises to be a mix of some of the Ballyhoura trails and some natural trails. If the last round is anything to go by it should be good.

I'm heading down on Sunday morning, any other takers?
