Here's one for all you mad feckers doing the XC Marathon Champs at the weekend. Beetroot Juice will add 2.7% more power to your legs if you drink 1/2 a litre before the race. Can't say I've tried it yet but the thoughts of a half a litre of that stuff before a race is enough to make you run faster..... to the nearest loo

45 seconds every 16km.. If I got a decent night's sleep without kids waking me up it might do more good
