Will Early Bird DF catch the worm? While most of us were still hibernating last January, DF was already plying the highways of Munster and Leinster amassing early season MTB points. His season was tragically, heroically cut short but he may just have done enough!
Or, will it be that tall, sleek powerhouse and all round nice guy Fintan? He has impressed throughout the season and is currently storming the Winter League.
Or will it be the Frank, the Fair-haired Maiden of the West? Newly returned from international duty, Frank the Tank aka The Ballinastraw Bullet has put in a long and very impressive season.
Or what about Frank’s sparring partner, wily old Brer Fox from Clonegal, "the Switzerland of Ireland”. PJ is an experienced campaigner (or cute hoor to use the common parlance) and knows how to maximise his training and racing efforts!
Or could it be the Horse Whisperer? A founder member of the Glaslacken Freeriders, he raced a lot in the early season with DF and was rewarded with third overall in this year’s Leinster League S3 category. Never a fan of spreadsheets, his chances of winning may be somewhat reduced by poor discipline when it comes to submitting results.
Could it be the Don? He’s been quiet enough this season by his standards but he might be in the running. Whatever happens we all need to support him in the coming months as he works through his mid life crisis.(Bike for Sale)
