Ballycarney to Bunclody 10k Dec 16th for Cancer Research

Calling all club members and your friends/work colleagues, i was contacted today by the GAA lads who helped out at our tri this year - remember they took us out of a spot with marshal numbers!

Well they are running a 10k in aid of Cancer Research from Ballycarney to Bunclody on Dec 16th and are looking for as many competitors as possible. It starts at 10am from Ballycarney Inn - only requirement is a donation of whatever you like or alternatively get some sponsorship. I will provide cards for anyone interested next weekend, at the Santa day or at the last of the club winter league. No timing chips - this is a charity race, so time it yourself. BTW - walkers welcome also. Spread the word in your workplaces also

It would be great if we could help out with this by participitating and/or marshalling. Those that deal with Facebook, can you put it up there also and ask them to like it

Pity Frank. Senior cross country is on the same day which take a lot of club runners out of the equation

They picked a very bad day unfortunately, with the senior xcountry u can take 95% of runners out. Pity

Well done to all the 795ers who took part today. Great turn out of walkers an runners at this event. Orla came second an Mike Ryan came third. Neil O Muiri was in shortly after. Special mention to Yvonne who ran her first competitive 10k

Thanks Frank, wouldnt say we ran it all but did run a large proportion. Delighted with myself . Thoroughly enjoyed it .
