Great Stuff lads. Nothing like the first race of the season to get the adrenaline going 8-)

Those HR figures are frightening. 2 hours at 90% Max HR. Not for the faint hearted

Just to qualify that, I haven't tested my max HR in a while but the highest I've ever "achieved" was 205 a couple of years ago. If that's still the case, 178 is around 87%. However, I think my max is around 200 now so 178 would be 89%.

Maximum respect men. I have the mother of all flu's. Standing up a challenge, never mind cycling. Might have gone only I knew that it was coming on. Didn't expect it to be the worst ever.
This is the first year that I missed the vaccine. Advise all to get, if not this year, next. I won't be missing it again.
Looks like a great day out. Looking forward to racing sometime - Ballyhoura and Derroura would suit my 'rudimentary bike skills' better. If Brian M was caught out on single track, what hope for me. Anyway, it's about competing and Team795 put in a very credible performance. If only DavidF was there we might have won something!

BrianM was down there, bit of a tale of woe with a puncture but he got on with it and finished. Great turnout again with over 300 racing.
