Long slow Run on Kilbrannish

Post by pjd »

Fintan Tracy Mike and myself are planning a run this Saturday departing lower car park at 8:30am.
There are loads of distance options but plan is 10-12 miles.
Route: lcp up to and around johns hill up to windmills croughan and back or something like that.
Pace roughly 5:45-6:00 per km.

Any takers?

You might want to reconsider that bit PJ, pretty rough and wet around Johns Hill

That was a great run. The company was great also.
Fintan Tracy and Mike.
12 miles over rolling hills.
We started at the lower car park and went up towards the windmills right onto Johns hill (thats a hidden gem by the way)
From there up to the windmills over to Croaghaun down heartbreak upper car park back to windmills detour off road for 2 km and back to lcp.
12 miles (19.3km total). just shy of 2 hrs.
Should make this a once monthly lsr at least.

Things we learned today:
What jeggings are
We found where Franks walks this dog/bike
How lucky we are to have this so close
The shite talk has started early this year

Luckly we didnt have the internet or there would have been some races signed up for :)

Gave me an idea for the summer

Now a cup of tea and the match ;)

Great run.Great company.Fintan Tracy and PJ and Joy.15 - 20 miles of self inflicted intermittent pain.
We started at the lower car park and went up towards the windmills right onto Johns hill (two loops) From there up to the windmills over and from there who knows, Some great single track trails . Thanks to our fantastic guide PJ we made it back to the cars
Who needs Copper Canyon when you have Kilbrannish. This is what its all about :D

It was a great run. The company was great and the conversations were even better.

We were surprised that some people make home movies, Expectorant is great to get it up and vaseline has many many uses.....

Roll on the next long slow run.
